Ace investigative Journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas is set to screen his investigative video that shows judges and some judicial staff receiving bribes, despite moves to block it.
The video on the massive corruption scandal is billed to be broadcast at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) today, Tuesday September 22 and Wednesday September 23.
Kasapafmonline.com’s sources at the AICC say Tiger Eye Pi, Anas Company has already made part payment for the venue.
Court bailiffs have failed at attempts to serve Anas and his company, Tiger Eye PI, with summons contesting the content of the video, plans to air it, the immunity granted him and an application seeking his incarceration.
A lawyer for one of the judges implicated in the judicial scandal has been compelled to file a motion for substituted service, which is to serve him and his company through his postal address and on notice boards at the High Court.
Counsel for Justice Paul Uuter Dery, one of the High Court judges caught on video allegedly receiving bribe, had, within a week, filed three separate applications all aimed at stopping Anas from airing a video showing his client and 33 other judges and magistrates taking bribes to compromise cases before them.
Meanwhile, an Accra High Court will today hear an application for interlocutory injunction on hearings of a committee set up to probe corruption charges against 22 lower court judges indicted in the corruption scandal.
