President-Elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has officially confirmed Mr Alan Kyremanteng will be his Minister of Trade and Industry when he assumes power in January 2017.

He made the confirmation at a meeting with the Private Enterprise Federation at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).Speaking under the theme: “Strategy for the Private sector,” Nana Akufo Addo used the event to put forward his government’s strategy for the private sector for the next four and further called onPrivate Sector/Enterprise leaders to join hands with him as he gets ready to take up the leadership mantle of the country.

He said his administration will give a special and particular attention to the private sector throughout the period of his presidency.Nana Akufo Addo noted that his government is committed to creating the congenial environment for businesses to thrive, but the private sector also has a responsibility to take advantage of that environment.

He promised “all irrational policies will be stopped,” and further assured to move away from the policy of taxation to that of production which will enhance the economy.

The President-elect added: “You asked for a government that worked with you rather than dictate you…You are getting it, “roll up your sleeves and get to work.”
