If indeed they listened, then one can say that parents, guardians and teachers had the opportunity to overturn Sunday’s chilling story that broke involving an accident which occurred at the Kintampo Waterfalls in the Brong Ahafo region.
It has emerged that the tragic incident that struck students of the Wenchi Senior High School was revealed through a Prophet on radio days before it happened.
One Prophet Reynolds Oduro Gyebi, the General Overseer of God’s Crown Chapel in Kumasi foretold this calamity earlier in a prophecy whilst preaching on sister radio station, Abusua FM based in Kumasi in the Ashanti region.
In his prophecy, he specifically asked those who were concerned to cancel outrightly the excursion that was embarked by the students Sunday, in view of its consequences.
At least 18 persons perished at the Kintampo Waterfalls in the Brong Ahafo region after trees crashed on them following a heavy storm in the area Sunday.
Revellers, had gone to the Waterfalls site to wind down their weekend, amidst students who were on excursion but ended up being killed when heavy trees fell from the top of the waterfalls and landed on them, eye witnesses say.
Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service and the Police including other disaster management officials rushed to the disaster scene yesterday in rescue efforts.
Several others who sustained varying degrees of injuries were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
