Ghanaian gospel singer, Brother Sammy has said he sees no wrong with musicians paying bribes to win awards.
Speaking with the Kumasi-based radio station, Hello FM the popular Kumasi-based worshipper said once a musician is honoured, it opens more avenues for the artiste to win more souls for Christ.
“When gospel musician wins the award, it opens bigger opportunities for the artiste to win more souls for Christ so he sees nothing wrong when a fellow offers a bribe to win an award.”
The worshipper says he sees nothing wrong with his colleagues persuading award organisers to act in their favour through a gift of money or other inducements.
Bro Sammy also noted that he had personally not come across any of his colleagues who have paid bribes to win awards before.
“I’ve not seen a gospel musician paying a bribe but it is not a sin when someone pays a bribe”, he said.
