A section of the public has slammed the media for asking questions they deem to be trivial during President Akufo Addo’s maiden interaction with the media on Tuesday.
According to them the media posed questions most of which didn’t have a direct bearing on moving the country forward and improving the living conditions of the citizenry.
A vox pop conducted by Kasapa News revealed how some people were disappointed in some questioners like senior journalist and fierce critic of the Akufo Addo presidency, Kwesi Pratt who asked a question about the re-admission of Morocco into the African Union (AU).
“I’m so shocked and disappointed in Kwasi Pratt, he sits on radio every day and makes so much noise. You met the President and we expected to hear you ask serious question and here you are asking a question wanting to know Ghana’s position on Morocco being accepted back into AU. Of what benefit is this to the Ghana a man quizzed?.”
Another person said: “Was it the case that they fear President Akufo Addo? Because I don’t uderstand what went on during the media interaction. I don’t know what happened to these people who sound so courageous and all knowing when they are on radio. I expected to hear hard questions but it appears they were awed by the presence of President Akufo Addo that left them asking unnecessary question with some talking about liking the President’s fabric.”
