The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu Ekuful has taken strong exception to a ‘malicious reportage’ that claims she has described Muslims as intolerable.
According to her, the report is palpable falsehood and well-calculated to create disaffection between herself and the Muslim community, adding that she’s never uttered and will never subscribe to the views of any person relating to the subject matter.
A statement signed by Sandra Frimpong, the Communications Specialist at the Ministry said the Minister’s office takes a strong view of the fake religious reportage making rounds that is intended to ruin the peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians.
“The office strongly cautions persons who have made it their preoccupation to publish such falsehood and create disaffection between the Minister and any religious group to desist from such reckless and tribalistic reportage. Persons responsible for such publications should recognize and be reminded that they are liable for prosecution under the laws of Ghana.”
It added that the Minister has and will continually work with all persons devoid of their religious affiliations to move Ghana beyond aid.
