Royal Women in Cinema Ghana, an organization which seeks the welfare of women in cinematography, on Saturday, May 12, 2018 as part of Mothers Day celebration walked to keep fit.
The health walk dubbed ‘Walks It Out‘ was organized by Results Focus Ghana. The health walk, aimed at drawing public attention to the need to continue efforts to empower women in the Ghanaian society.
Over 200 participants in the walk included members of the Ghana Actors Guild, women from Police Wives Association, Military Wives Association, Prison Service and other women from the general public.
The programme began at 6:30am from the Aviation Social Center, proceeded through Cantoments to 37 military hospital ending at Aviation Social Center at Airport.
Participants also had the opportunity to undergo free health screening, aerobics and a massage from health practitioners.
Aside the free health walk, ten (10) women who participated in the Indomie Cooking Contest were awarded half pieces of GTP cloth each, products from Dano company Limited and Indomie products.
Speaking to the media after the event, Madam Dzifa Agbetepey Ntiri, Founder of Royal Women in Cinema, said that the event was dedicated to mothers, and also to celebrate their efforts in raising the future generation.
According to her, women can excel if the right environment should be designed to cater for their development.
