Deputy Director of Vehicle, Inspection and Registration of the Driver Vehicle and License Authority(DVLA), Alhaji Iddrissu Fuseni says it has started consultation with the Committed Drivers Association to deliberate on the difficulties with the new licensing system.

Fuseini toold reporters in Accra that the policy is premised on the need to reduce significantly the carnage on our roads.

He said the reason for the growing public opposition to the new policy is mainly because of a communication gap.

He admitted more work needed to go into the mode of communication to level up understanding with the new regime.

However, he maintained that drivers who have already acquired the license would not be affected, unless they intend to get a new license altogether.
