Delegates of the opposition New Patriotic Party have elected Thomas Duanab Wuni to represent them in the upcoming Talensi by-elections.

He polled 182 votes as against his competitors Robert Alibo and Williams Zoogah’s 119 and 96 votes respectively.

Two ballot papers were rejected.

Wuni will now come face to face with the NDC’s  B.T Baba also declared winner of the ruling Party’s primaries held Sunday.

The Talensi by-election is scheduled for July 7.

It is taking place because the former MP, Robert Nachineb Doameng, has been enskined as Paramount Chief of Tolon.
