Fire Monday night ravaged a section of the Abossey Okai Spare Parts market in Accra.

Locals say the fire, which started at about 6:30 pm local time spread wildly, consuming a substantial stretch before it was brought under control by personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service.

This is the fourth major outbreak in weeks in the national capital, Accra, after the June 3, Tip Toe Lane, and Abuja incidents.

Investigations are underway, officials say.
