The 2016 flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is to embark on a nationwide unity tour in the coming weeks to begin the processes leading to a stronger group ahead of the 2016 elections.

Party sources tell that the tour, which will take place when he returns from the United Kingdom, will see him visit and interact with the Party’s rank and file across the country to help broker amicable settlements to some of the issues that have broken its front lately.

Nana Addo who is expected back in Ghana July 31, is in the UK to hold meetings with members of the NPP-UK branch, as well as branch and chapter executives. He is also expected to attend the inauguration of the Northampton Chapter of the branch on July 18; and attend a branch general meeting on July 26, 2015.

In addition to holding scheduled meetings during the period, Nana Akufo-Addo will also visit some educational institutions in England, and interact with members of the Ghanaian community.

The unity tour sources tell us is to assure its followers of a united front ahead of next year’s elections.
