The National Democratic Congress(NDC) has suspended the District Chief Executive for Kwahu South District Assembly in the Eastern region, Joseph Omari for alleged misconduct in the media.

The DCE has been accused of being behind the publication of malicious stories about the party’s Kwahu South constituency chairman Mohammed Salifu.

Further allegations also pointed out that he’d refused to work collaboratively with the constituency party executives.

A letter to effect his suspension released and signed by the party’s constituency chairman read in part: “Joseph Omari concocted and published a story in the General Telegraph newspaper on February 23, 2015, to assassinate the character of the constituency chairman Mohammed Salifu for collecting a whopping sum Ghc60.000 from Malam Mohamed of Atibie to assist him obtain a media license to operate a media house”.
