Kasapafmonline.com can confirm that the T.I Ahmadiyya Senior High School (SHS) in Salaga in the Northern Region has been closed down following a riot by students of the school.

ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, Public Relations Officer of the Northern Regional Police Command says the body of one person killed as a result of the disturbances has been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital pending autopsy.

He told Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.3 FM, one other person who sustained gunshot in the attack has also been referred to the Tamale hospital for treatment, ASP Tetteh disclosed.

Students of T. I Ahmadiyya SHS, Thursday attacked the District Police station in the area and vandalized a police vehicle in the process.

The students’ action follow the police arresting three students who led an assault on the school authorities after they had been sanctioned for misconduct.
