Business activities in Tuobodom, near Techiman in the Brong Ahafo have come to a halt, a day after violence broke in the area that saw four people shot dead, while seven others sustained severe injuries.

Fear can be seen boldly written on the faces of residents who have decided not to undertake any economic activities, at least for now, for fear of their lives.

Kasapa FM’s Isaac Bediako who reported from the town Thursday morning stated that all stores in the area have been closed with the residents seen in small groups brooding over yesterday’s unfortunate incident.

He noted that the police are currently at the crime scene and have started picking up evidences and other leads about the incident.

The deceased lost their lives after some masked gun wielding assailants started firing shots killing the victims in the process Wednesday afternoon. Houses were also reportedly torched in the violence.

The Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, Eric Opoku in an interview with Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM condemned the dastardly act, and stated that the Regional Security Council (REGSEC) is meeting over the matter to put in place strategies to maintain law and order in the area.

He added that the security personnel are firmly on the ground to ensure that nothing untoward happens.
