The Ghana Revenue Authority(GRA) has deployed into the system a special task force that will ostensibly help it carry out effectively revenue mobilisation in the country.

The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, George Blankson, says tax compliance is a major problem facing the state, however the formation of the task force will enable it get recalcitrant taxpayers to comply with the tax laws.

A forty-member Special Revenue Task-force to mobilise revenue from defaulting taxpayers and also bring in taxpayers outside the tax net has been inaugurated.

Speaking at the launch, the Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority, George Blankson, said the move forms part of efforts to enforce tax compliance under Ghana’s current  tax regime.
