President Mahama has received report of a five-member committee which investigated an allegation of abuse of office against CHRAJ commissioner Lauretta Vivian Lamptey.

The Chief Justice, Georgina Theodora Wood  who received the report today, in turn forwarded the document to the President in line with Article 146 (4) of the 1992 Constitution, a statement from the Judiciary Secretary, Justice Alex B. Poku-Acheampong said.

The CHRAJ boss has been relieved of her post since January 2015 after a prima facie case was established against her.

She was accused of expending some $4,200 as monthly rent for 33 months on her hotel accommodation, while over GHS180,000 was being spent to renovate her official bungalow.
