Three persons have been rewarded in the second month edition of the Vodafone “Yee Twi Kɔ” promotion in Koforidua.
The first prize winner , Mr Samuel Obeng Amoako, 28 , a social worker at the Adenta Municipality took home GhC 30,000.
The second prize winner, Mr Baba Ibrahim, 31, a sales officer at Nutrifoods Ghana Limited, won GhC 10,000, with Belinda Buahin, 29, a trader winning GhC 5,000.
Mr Martison Obeng-Agyei, Head of Mass Marketing at Vodafone, said since the inception of the “Yee Twi Kɔ” promotion in October, over 100,000 customers have been rewarded, with some winning instant prizes as well as others building points to raise hopes for monthly prizes and the ultimate prize.
He said Vodafone initially promised to honour 180,000 customers through the promotion, but had increased it to 272,000, due to the enthusiasm shown by the customers.
Mr Obeng-Agyei urged all Vodafone users to continue to scratch to win instant prizes, or build their points for the ultimate prize.
He appealed to non users to switch to Vodafone for smiles to be put on their faces.
Mr Amoako, the first prize winner, said at first he thought it was a joke, but later realized it was real, and urged all customers to try their luck to be rewarded.
He said he intended investing a chunk of the money in treasury bills for now, and use some for the Christmas and New Year festivities.
