Residents of Nsawam Adoagyiri are requesting for more water supply in the area.

According to them getting water for basic needs such as cleaning, washing and cooking is difficult because they have to wake up at dawn in search of water.

Speaking to Kasapa News the residents said that they are always being promised tankers will bring them water, which ultimately leads to long queues.

They added that the tankers that bring the water are mostly supplied to government agencies with a few town folks left to hustle.

The residents again added that most workers who are not present at home when the tankers arrive are unable to get water and therefore pleaded with authorities to supply water to them in the evenings.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the area Mr. Ben Ohene Aryeh said currently two boreholes have been dug by the Ghana Water Company that pumps 300,000 gallons a day for the residents. He indicated that the water is treated before being supplied.

The National Security together with NADMO he added, have collaborated to supply gallons of water to the people every day.

Mr. Ohene Aryeh was full of praise for the Deputy Minister of Works and Housing and Resources, Yaw Adusei, for the support given to the people during these hard times.
