The 4th edition of the Black Art Street Festival (BASFest 2017) was launched online on September 17 at BASILISSA, Tema Comm.6.
BASFest 2017 is scheduled to take place from December 1 to 3 at Tema Community 4.
Themed ‘Black Creativity’, is focused on the relevance and impact of creative processes on national development and how creative minds can address societal challenges with greater focus on environmental cleanliness through recycling.
The festival provides a converging point for thousands of free-minds, artists, potential and active entrepreneurs, tech-addicts, bloggers, musicians and music lovers, environmental conservationists, fashion addicts and entrepreneurs, lifestyle and cultural enthusiasts and other creative minds to generate series of contagious energy to promote art, tourism, entrepreneurship and the environment.
Waste has become huge challenge for our nation today. Government continues to spend thousands of dollars on dealing on the effects of wastes such as cholera, malaria and other waste-related diseases. Gutters are being chocked and floods have become the norm anytime it rains.
In the spirit of Ghana’s 60 years of independence, BASFest 2017 also offers unique opportunity for festival patrons to experience Ghana’s rich diverse culture. This year’s festival promises to send celebrants on a memorable journey of art, culture, music, history and everything Ghanaian and African.
