Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Teye Partey was on target for Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.

Atletico Madrid were held to 1-1 home stalemate by Azerbaijani side Qarabag FK at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.

The visitors, Qarabag FK opened the floodgate in the 40th minute through Spanish midfielder Michel.

The 24-year-old grabbed the leveller with a stunning strike in the 56th minute of the game.

He was replaced by Nicholas Gaitan in the 62nd minute of the match.

Partey was not included in Ghana’s final squad to face Egypt in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier next month.
