The Chief Executive Officer of Origin8, one of Ghana’s leading Marketing Communications Company, Mr. William Ansah has lamented the inability of government (both current and previous) to help elevate the standards of the industry.

According to him, government should prioritize on deepening local content by awarding some of its big projects to the indigenous marketing communication entities. He identifies this as pivotal in upping the standards of the industry.

William Ansah was speaking in an exclusive interview with Empire FM in the aftermath of a media launch of the company’s 20th anniversary.

He highlighted the aforementioned as one of the key challenges Marketing Communications Companies in the country are facing.

The Origin8 CEO also pinpointed the situation where small and budding entities in the industry lower the standards just to get some deals.

He decried the rate at which smaller agencies shirk the practicing of professional standards especially in relation to consumer purchase decision and its determinants and don’t do what is best for the consumer. He advised culprits in this stead to adopt the Origin 8 model processes and always prioritize satisfying the consumer.

Since its establishment in 1998, Origin8 has grown to become a standout in the industry. The company harbors the belief that quality client service, stimulating creative concepts, quality outcomes, and timely delivery, are essential in delivering results to its clients.

It is however not surprising that it has had solid professional associations with the Advertisers Association of Ghana (AAG), the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) and the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana.

Origin8 has over the years rendered quality services to numerous clients comprising The British Council, SSNIT, GHACEM, GNPC, Coral, PolyTank, Silver Star Auto Services Ltd, Stellar Group and Cassa Trassacco.

They have won several top awards including one last year at the West Africa Innovation Award. Origin8 was named as the Best Creative Agency, West Africa Diamond Award.
