President Akuffo-Addo has indicated that government is looking for a strategic investor to take over the management of the Komenda Sugar factory to guarantee it’s sustenance.

Government, he explained is ready to divest the company as the erstwhile Mahama administration didn’t do a good job with the factory.

The factory, he said was poorly thought out as the necessary things needed to make it run were not put in place by the Mahama administration.

Addressing chiefs and people of Komenda in the central region, President Akufo-Addo stressed that he inherited an empty coffers as there wasn’t any money to support development in the country including the Komenda Sugar factory.

His government, he indicated is doing everything possible to make sure that Ghanaians enjoy better livelihood.

Addressing some concerns of the chiefs including the poor road and the absence of landing beaches area which is negatively affecting the fishing industry network in the area, President Akufo-Addo said plans are far advanced in meeting such needs.
