Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram, Sam Dzata George has accused President Akufo Addo of sending NPP Invincible Force to attack him at the La Bawaleshie school park where he was monitoring the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-elections.

He took to Facebook to thank President Akufo Addo for allowing pro-NPP vigilante group, Invincible Force to attack him.

In a video that has gone viral on various social media platforms, the legislator is seem being assaulted by some heavily built men who are dressed as members of the national security and in a police vehicle.

Two macho men who were in a police van, descended on him after they saw the legislator bitterly complaining about some happenings that took place prior to his attack.

Meanwhile, the opposition National Democratic Congress has announced its decision to withdraw from the ongoing by-election in the Ayawaso West Wuogon in Accra.

The decision was announced in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM by the national chairman of the party Samuel Ofosu Ampofo.

“Officially we have withdrawn. We have alerted all our agents to withdraw, we cannot allow our people to be killed because of this single by-election,” Mr. Ofosu Ampofo noted.

It comes after four people were allegedly been shot at the Baweleshie polling centre.
