For decades, the mass media in most parts of the world package and depict disturbing patterns of African life.

This pattern always highlights poverty, corruption, conflict, and disease as the defining factors of life.

Information that does not get highlighted very much is the fact that most young Africans are now challenging the status quo and making strides socially, politically and economically.

However, all is not lost. There are a few enterprising youngsters who have defied the odds to change the narratives of the African story and one of such youngsters is Dr. Williams Anarfi Sarpong popularly called Dr. WASK who has blazed the trail.

On the 12th of February 2019, at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Sharjah UAE, Dr. WASK will be the VIP Speaker at the 4TH Annual Water &Energy Congress organized by H.E. Dr. Rashid Alleem, the Founder & Executive Chairman of Alleem Investment Centre and Chairman of Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority.

H.E. Dr. Rashid Alleem is also the Knowledge Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates.

The theme for the congress is “Water & Energy” with about 350 delegates expected to attend.

The congress is a platform which will give participants and delegates the opportunity to network with leading business professionals in the United Arab Emirates and also help expand their business connections.

Dr. WASK will be speaking on “Sustainable Livelihoods in Sub-Saharan Africa.
