The National Teaching Council(NTC) has announced March 25-26, 2019 for the second phase of the Teacher Licensure Examinations.

At least 15,000 trained teachers are expected to sit for the exams. This will include those who could not write the maiden exams and the 7423 that failed in the last exams, the NTC has said.

Registration for the exams started last Friday, March 08,2019.

Out of the 28,757 teachers who wrote the examination last year, 21,297, representing 74 per cent, passed, while 7,472 failed.

The Trainee Teachers Association of Ghana(TTAG) has been pushing for the NTC to reconsider the modalities of setting its licensure exams questions in subsequent exams following the mass failure recorded last year.

But the NTC has maintained that the modalities of the exams will remain the same.
