The leadership of the opposition NDC has postponed the induction ceremony of its Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama originally scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
This comes on the back of the sudden demise of its former National Chairman, Dr. Kwabena Adjei on Tuesday morning.
It’s unclear the new date for the event put on hold.
Meanwhile, the Functional Executive Committee of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has declared a three-day mourning period in honour of the late national chairman of the party, Dr Kwabena Adjei.
The former National party chair of the largest opposition, Dr. Kwabena Adjei passed away Tuesday morning at the Ridge hospital after a protracted illness.
Dr. Kwabena Adjei lost his chairmanship position in 2014 to the then NADMO boss, Mr. Portuphy, who reportedly had the backing of President John Dramani Mahama, the leader of NDC.
The former National Chairman, Popularly referred to as “Wayoo! Wayo!” was aged 76.
