The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) will on Sunday, April 7 honour six music legends at the Presidential Grand Ball event.

The six are Abirekyireba Kofi Sammy, Prof. Kofi Abraham, Naa Amanua of Wulomei fame, Asabea Cropper, Kwadwo Akwaboah and Pat Thomas.

They will receive the Music Industry Heroes Award in recognition of, second-time MUSIGA is honouring music legends as part of the Presidential Grand Ball.

The sixth edition of the Presidential Grand Ball will also commemorate the President’s 75th birthday.

In addition to these honorees for the night, there will be auctions of instruments played by some music legends.

This year’s event is the sixth Presidential Grand Ball since the Union announced the event in 2013. The fundraising event is to support the Ageing Musicians Welfare Fund (AMWeF) and other initiatives of the Union.

Samini, Tic Tac, Naa Amanua of Wulomei fame, Bob Pinodo and Daddy Lumba will be performing on the night. The compere will be Kwame Sefa Kayi, ace broadcaster and member of the Presidential Grand Ball Board.
