Two students of Tumu Senior High Technical School in the Upper West Region have been arrested after destroying school properties following rioting by students.

The angry youth on Thursday night resorted to acts of vandalism causing damage to Headmaster’s bungalow, Senior Housemaster’s office, louvers blades in classrooms among others after school authorities seized their mobile phones.

Sissala East Municipal Assembly Chief Executive, Karim Nayo in an interview confirmed the incident.

According to him, his visit to the school Friday morning revealed that most of the students had fled due to police presence on campus.

Authorities of the school, he said will meet the students this afternoon to take a decision on the next step.
