It has emerged that two of the captors in the Canadian kidnapping case arrested by Police yesterday are allegedly members of the main opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC).
This is an account by former Commander of defunct Delta Force, Kwadwo Bamba.
“We don’t want to delve into the tangential issues and propaganda started by the NDC, but in setting the records straight, the Seidu guy is rather an NDC member as well as one other guy who is a Rastaman sighted in the pictures circulating on social media; he’s called Alo Krey. He’s an active member of the NDC and a known dispatch rider for Mahama anytime he visits the region. He limps because of an accident he was involved in sometime ago in his escort duties,” Bamba told host Kweku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.
Earlier reports said, the ringleader of the Kidnapping syndicate, Seidu Mba was a known Delta Force member, a claim denied by leaders of the defunct NPP affiliated group.
Reacting to the claims on Kasapa 102.5 FM, Kwadwo Bamba said Seidu Mba has been mistaken for their former Director known as Mohammed Seidu.
He accused the NDC of allegedly masterminding the false reports, which has gone viral on social media with his images as a member of the Delta Force.
In a statement released earlier, Delta force said: “It has come to the knowledge of the Delta Force Group that one body builder in Kumasi, known in the airwaves as Seidu has been arrested by the Ashanti Regional police command in connection with the two Canadian girls kidnapped case, and he is being purported to be a member of our group.
“The Delta Force Group in the Ashanti Region would like to state unequivocally that the said culprit (Seidu), has never been a member of our group and he’s not part of us”.
According to him, the Delta Force has ceased operating as a group.
