A joint team of Police/Military officers have stormed Gomoa Buduburam in the Central Region and arrested hundreds of residents including ladies suspected to be involved in criminal activities.
The suspects have been brought to Accra for screening.
The exercise which was carried out on Thursday dawn was to clamp down on criminals who are terrorizing innocent residents and preventing them from going about the legitimate businesses in peace.
The team comprised of four hundred military personnel and two hundred police officers.
Gomoa Buduburam otherwise known as Liberia Camp which used to host displaced Liberians is known to harbour hardened criminals and drug addicts who engage in all sorts of crime in Kasoa and surrounding areas.
Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan who covered the exercise reports that some residents who were pleased with the operation conducted appealed to the government to deploy security men in the community to rid the town of criminals.
