Part of Nkawkaw Town roads in the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly have been blocked for construction a day to the President’s visit.
The construction of 2km Domeabra/Agyarkwa road which started few months ago has been delayed for some time.
Speaking on Agoo FM Friday morning, the MCE Hon. Lawyer Yaw Owusu Addo said the president’s visit has nothing to do with this new development.
According to him, the contractor who left the site does not have enough machines to operate but he had a call from him this morning that work is beginning.
The state of several roads in Nkawkaw is poor which has resulted in the youth raising issues over the situation.
The state of Akuajoo/Trado road, White house road, Hotel Junction to Hans B Road, Asuboni Road, Winners, are in poor state affecting the day and day activities of drivers, passengers and residents.
Information gathered indicates that, the President will only use Domeabra/Agyarkwa Road the reason for immediate construction which the MCE has denied.
The MCE told Dennis Owoahene Acheampong in a radio interview that, drivers and residents must comply with the new directive to avoid any inconvenient situation.
The President is expected to visit the Eastern Region from Tomorrow Saturday 12th October 2019 to Monday 14th October 2019.
