Ghana Tourism Authority has launched the 2020 paragliding festival ahead of the Kwahu Easter Festival at the Mpraeso Palace.

The theme for the year’s paragliding festival is dubbed “Soaring behind the Return”.

Speaking to Kwame Koranteng on Ene Nso Biom, District Manager for Ghana Tourism Authority, Evans Antwi Boasiako disclosed that the reason behind this year’s theme is in accordance with the significance and achievement behind President Akufo Addo’s “Year of Return” initiative in 2019.

He outlined various activities which are slated to be held during the festival.

Speaking on the reasons why the launching is being held at the Mpraeso Palace, Antwi Boasiako cited that the annual launching of the Paragliding Festival was initially done in Accra.

However, Chiefs of Kwahu addressed their displeasure about the location and asked that it be shifted to the town which the festival is held.

He says the Ghana Tourism Authority heeded to that call and has since done the launching in Kwahu.

He promised this year will be much more fun than in previous years.
