VEEP, Dr. Bawumia praying

Vice President, Dr. Mahammudu Bawumia will today host leaders of the Muslim faith to a special prayer session at the Jubilee House.

The Presidency is leading the nation to make supplication to God for mercy over the scourge of covid-19 pandemic.

Today’s prayer meeting to be hosted by the vice president follows a similar one held yesterday by the President with selected Men of God at the Presidency.

Dr. Bawumia’s prayer meeting with Muslim clerics is scheduled for 8am at the Banquet Hall, Jubilee House.

Health officials have so far recorded 11 cases for covid-19 in Ghana with no deaths.

Reports say all two new cases on Thursday were recorded in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.

One of the patients, according to health reports is a 61-year-old Lebanese male national, who is a trader and resident in Kumasi.

The other recorded case is a 59-year-old Ghanaian woman resident in the United Kingdom who recently returned to Ghana and currently living in Kumasi.

The fresh cases come barely 24hrs after Ghana recorded additional 2 cases overnight on Wednesday totalling 9 earlier.
