The Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiam Constituency who doubles as Minority Ranking Member on Finance Hon. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson has donated items to prevent the spread of COVID 19 to 193 communities in his constituency.
The Constituency Secretary of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Mr. Andrews Kojo Doodu who presented the items on behalf of Ato Forson said that it is one of the MP’s priorities to make sure that the people of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District are in good health always.
According to the Secretary, this is the third time the MP is donating such materials to ensure the constituents are prevented from contracting the virus.
“The materials he donated were 500 Veronica buckets, over 20,000 hand sanitizers, nose marks, gloves, liquid soaps and many more for the people in his communities to use” Mr. Andrews Kojo Doodu said.
He also encouraged the people of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District to wash their hands regularly to prevent contracting the virus.
“We have supplied all the institutions in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District been is Police Stations, all the Hospitals, Schools, Markets, Lorry Stations, some of the Materials. They should keep washing their hand even when the coronavirus is over.”
Osaberima Otsibu Kwaw VI the Paramount Chief of Enyan Denkyira Traditional Area on behalf of all the five Paramouncies in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District thanked Ato Forson for such donations.
“Without you where will the people of the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District get some of these items to use in order not to get the coronavirus virus. In fact, I am shocked to see these materials and is it beyond my understanding, we will always remember you. This will encourage me more to educate our people to wash their hands regularly because now the materials have been provided to them.”
According to the Chief, he has declared a day of prayer and fasting for the chiefs and people of his area and they will observe it soon.
“This is the third time the Member of Parliament Hon. Cassiel Ato Forson has donated these materials and we will make sure that it has reached all the 193 communities for them to comply with the washing of hands campaign” he added.
