Media conglomerate EIB Network and NGO Grace Station Foundation have formed a partnership to share rice and other items to the needy as Accra and Kumasi observe a lockdown in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic in Ghana.
The partnership will see the two organisations sharing packs of water and canned fish to people in need in the affected communities.
The exercise is scheduled to begin Saturday, April 4 and will continue through the lockdown period.
Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has extended the closure of Ghana’s borders in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic by two more weeks.
The move was announced by Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah on Saturday.
Ghana has so far recorded 214 cases of coronavirus with five fatalities and 38 recoveries.
