Entertainment pundit Martin Ansong known in showbiz as Martinezz Verjin has reacted to the death of manager of Castro, DJ Amess.

He pointed accusing fingers at the leadership of the creative arts industry.

On the 4th day of June 2020, the industry was hit by the sad news of the death of Darlyn Kotei, popularly known as DJ Amess at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.

DJ Amess was well known in the entertainment circles as a talent manager, an Arts and Entertainment writer and a regular pundit on Kasapa Entertainment show.

Amess had been ill for sometime and recently there were reports about him soliciting for funds from people to settle his hospital bills.

Speaking on Kasapa Entertainment show hosted by Eddy Ray which was dedicated in honour of the deceased industry stalwart, Martinezz remarked, “The leadership of the creative arts industry has disappointed DJ Amess”.

According to him, DJ Amess has contributed immensely in unearthing many talents in the industry, notable amongst them being Castro who disappeared from the scene some years ago but had nothing to show off for all his toil.

Citing many creative art stakeholders that suffered the same fate as DJ Amess due to the lack of structural support for industry stakeholders, he advised the leadership of the industry to work hard in putting up systems and structures that will support stakeholders who spend their time and resources just to see the industry progress to make them proud of their efforts.

He further recommended the sector needs a HALL OF FAME to recognise the works and contributions of these stakeholders so their hard-earned reputation and achievements will not just go down the drain but will be instituted for the young generation of creative artistes to know and learn from it.
