The New Patriotic Party has expressed satisfaction about the ongoing voters’ registration exercise.
Today marks Day 2 of the exercise which has recorded pockets of violence, disregard for Covid-19 safety protocols and breakdown of some registration kits.
But speaking to the media in parliament Director of Communications for the party Yaw Buaben Asamoah argued such little hiccups are expected.
He however cautioned troublemakers at the various registration centers the vigilantism and related offences Act is in force and will deal ruthlessly with anyone who falls foul
Touching on threat by the Ghana Medical Association to hold Chairperson of the EC responsible for any surge in Covid-19 figures, the Adentan MP argued that’s far-fetched.
According to him, the GMA must rather turn their energy into preaching personal responsibility in adhering to the safety protocols.
