Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong has arrived in court today after failing to show up at the start of his contempt case.
The Assin Central MP was asked to appear before an Accra High Court on Monday, September 14, to “show cause why he should not be severely punished for contempt of court.”
However, Mr Agyapong failed to show up in court.
This, according to documents submitted to the court, was because the legislator was not personally notified of the date for his appearance.
But today, in court at exactly 8:30 am, the maverick politician appeared in an all light blue native attire to face the court.
Kennedy Agyapong allegedly made uncomplimentary remarks against the court in a land matter.
