A non-governmental organisation, RaphaelKorda foundation has donated some medical equipment to the Nyive CHPs compound located far East of the Ghana-Togo border in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region.
The items donated include packs of disposable nose masks, a digital blood pressure monitor, penlight, a pack of test tubes, diagnostic otoscope, gallons of liquid soap, bleach and a wheelchair among others.
Thanking the foundation on behalf of Ghana health service, the health workers at the centre and the Nyive community, Mr Anthony Agbesi, a Physician Assistant at the facility who recieved the items said, “the centre currently serves over 3400 people in and around Nyive but have been struggling through with so many challenges.”
He assured the foundation that the equipment would be put to proper use to better the lives of the people of Nyive and its surrounding towns and villages.
Mr. Agbesi, however, called on government and other organisations to help the centre with an oxygen cylinder and a maternity bed.
Addressing the media, the leader of the Foundation, Mr. Raphael Korbla Korda who is also an indigene of Nyive, promised to help them renovate and refurnish the maternity block and the washroom for the Out Patient Department (OPD).
