The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Bethel Congregation Children Service, Mankessim in the Central Region has donated Food and other items to the St. Mercy Catholic Hospital at Mankessim.

The items include drinks, toilet tools, biscuits, clothes, shoes, bottles of water, toys among others.

The items were presented to the Children ward of the Hospital.

Presenting the items, the Minister in charge of the Church, Rev. Philip Kwesi Osafo said the Children Service donated the items to put smile on the faces of Children who unfortunately are on their sick bed during this festive period.

He disclosed that the Church does an offertory for sick children in the hospital hence they decided to use portion of the offering to buy stuff and support children who are sick.

He said this will not end here as the Church will continue to support the sick in our hospitals and urged various Churches, NGOs, Individual to offer such support.

The Assistant Physician of the Hospital Sandra Ohemaa Frema who received the items thanked the Church for the donation and called for more support.

She said, the Children ward of the Hospital lacks an incubator to save the lives of premature babies.

She appealed to the Government to support them with an incubator and bed sheets to cover the beds.
