Two persons have been arrested for allegedly robbing and killing a Chinese national.
The incident happened some 10 ten days ago at Sakumono near Tema.
The robbery operation took a nosedive when the Chinese who is believed to be around 50 years resisted the robbery attempt.
The District Commander for the Baatsona Police Command, Chief Supt. Felix Cosmos said the suspects will soon be arraigned.
“On 12th April 2017, at about 8:30 pm, the deceased who happens to be a Chinese national…about 50 years old an an engineer of company called Rooster Investment which is based in Accra. The deceased person closed from work around 8:30 pm and went to his house at Sakumono. The following day, which was 13th April, 2017, about 7:30 pm he was found dead in his bath house in the house. So a report was made to the Police. So on the 16th of April, 2017 based on our intelligence, we arrested one suspect called Ekow Korsah, a 23 year old fore man of that same company. During interrogation of the suspect, he initially denied knowledge of the death of the Chinese man so we did a further probe and then went to search his residence and retrieved a Huawei P8 Smart Phone together with its charger which was later on identified by the brother of the deceased as having belonged to the deceased. so based on this discovery the suspect broke down and confessed to having committed the crime. And then he mentioned one Michael Mensah also a 22 year old.”
