Midfielder Emmanuel Kwesi Asare is likely to break into the Ghana Premier League (GPL) as the youngest footballer to play in the premiership, according to his agent five topflight clubs are seeking his signature.

The 15-year-old attacking midfielder has been a subject of great interest to many elite division and Division One clubs with the two most successful clubs in GPL, Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak, heavily linked with Asare.

A brilliant performance in the Division Two and also winning the two awards as the man of match and young player of the competition have propelled Asare into the want lists of these prestigious clubs.

Emmanuel Asare is currently with Division Two club, Sun City Football Club, at Kasoa in the Central Region.

A brilliant performance in the pre-season competition in the Division Two has propelled Asare into the want lists of clubs like Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.

Asare, who scored 15 goals in last season’s league and in friendly matches, has been nicknamed by his colleagues and supporters of the club as “Shootey”.

Both clubs are looking to fortify their squad for the second round of the league. However, his manager, Mr Sam Jonah, told the Daily Heritage Sports in Accra that the clubs which have expressed keen interest in securing the services of his talisman wants him ahead of the second round of the ongoing league.

“As for offers, we have received a lot of them currently. I could disclose not less than five offers currently on our table from different top-flight clubs.

“We will not rush to enter into a deal with any club as we know that more offers will be coming our way before the commencement of the league. We want to study what is best for us among all. But for now, I’ll not mention any club for we want to keep this confidential,” he said.
