Madam Aba Hagan becomes the first casualty in the the Metropolitian Municpal and District Chief Executives confirmation process in the Central Region.

The nominee failed to garner the required two – thirds votes that would have qualified her as the next DCE for the Abura Asebu Kwamankese district assembly.

She polled 17 out of the 42 votes with 25 voting against her.

What makes her case interesting is the fact that the Assembly is dominated by members known to belong to the NPP in the area.

The assembly even has 13 government appointees and 19 members belonging to the NPP stock and yet the woman could not sail through.
