Acting National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Freddie Blay, has been appointed to chair the Board of Directors of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).
A letter dated May 3, 2017, and signed by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare also named six members to serve on the GNPC Board.
They include, Dr. K. K. Sarpong, Managing Director of GNPC, Mr. Kwabena Kwaakye, Member, Prof. J. S. Nabila, Member, Mr. Yaw Kyei, Member, Nana Adjoa Hackman, Member, and Ogyeahohoo Yaw Gyebi II, Member.
The seven-member Board under leadership of Mr. Blay, is expected to see to the effective running of the state oil firm and make it profitable than ever before in the history books of the company.
