The Minority National Democratic Congress (NDC) Caucus in Parliament has donated some food items and a cash amount of GhC2,000 to the National Chief Imam, Sheik Ousman Sharabutu.

Among the items include; 100 bags of rice, 50 bags of sugar, 20 cartons of milk and 5 cartons of Lipton tea.

They made this donation when they paid a courtesy call on the National Chief Imam at his Palace in Fadama, Friday.

Minority Leader, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, who led exercise said the gesture was to assist the Muslim Community as they go through the 30 days period of Ramadan.

He added the gesture is in pursuant to Zakat and the five pillars of Islam.

Hon. Haruna Iddrisu prayed to God to give the Chief Imam longer life. He urged him to maintain a high sense of integrity during this period.
The National Chief Iman, Sheik Ousman Sharabutu on his part said he was very appreciative and thankful for the visit.

He said during the fasting period, charity is something that is upheld and must permeate within the society.

Chief Iman, Sheik Ousman Sharabutu asked for God’s favour without a limit to be upon the Minority NDC Caucus.The Minority NDC  Caucus also presented 50 bags of rice, 25 bags of sugar, 15 cartons of milk and 5 cartons of Lipton to the Am Suna Muslim community at Abeka.
