Ghanaian Actress Emelia Brobbey, has denied reports about her being married for the second time after she was divorced in 2012.
According to the actress who doubles as a producer, she has been married just once and still lives a single life.
“I got married in 2010, things didn’t work out; the marriage lasted for two years and in 2012 I got divorced. I mean documents signed by both partners agreed. Ever since I’ve dated and had a baby but I never got married again,” she told JOY FM.
She said many have different perceptions when they see her with men and that is the reason why section of the public think that she’s been married twice.
According to Brobbey, she cannot blame anybody but herself for the rumours about her being married for the second time.
The popular Ghanaian actress Emelia Brobbey has revealed that she parted ways with her former husband primarily because the latter was averse to her career in acting.
“Initially he had no problem but later there were ups and downs so we came together agreed and parted ways”, she revealed.
According to her, the husband did not show directly he disliked her acting career but things later manifested and they had to go their separate ways.
She discounted claims that she cheated on her husband as reported by a section of the media reason for which both divorced. “It’s totally false I have never cheated on my husband. They just say it to tarnish my image. I have not cheated and I will not cheat. When I am in love I commit myself to it”, she told Naa Klordey on the Ultimate Brunch.
