The Presbyterian Boys Senior High School, Legon has qualified to the quarter finals of the ongoing National Science and Maths Quiz.

The ‘Odade3’ boys defeated the ‘Bleoo’ Boys and St. John’s Grammar School to qualify to the next stage of the competition.

Presec took an early lead but were later overpowered by the Academy Boys in the second round with the Grammarians in the second place.

Accra Academy maintained their lead as St. John’s Grammar closed it up in the second and third rounds.

Accra Academy, however, took over in the 4th round leaving PRESEC in the third position with St. John’s Grammar at second.

The big break came for PRESEC in the 5th (final round). They answered 3 out of 4 questions correctly with St. John’s Grammar also answering 1 correctly. Accra Academy did not answer any question in that round, leaving them in the third place as PRESEC took a comfortable lead and St. John’s Grammar increased their lead against Accra Academy.

This sealed the deal for PRESEC who many tout to win the contest.

Below are the results…

Presbyterian Boys’ SHS: 45
St. John’s Grammar Sch.: 31
Accra Academy: 26
