The Cape Coast Branch of UT Bank has donated thirty (30) desktop computers to the Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU). The computers are meant for the school’s library to enhance the students’ use of the facility.
The school which was previously Cape Coast Polytechnic was converted into a University with the passage of the Technical Universities Act 2016 (Act 922).
UT Bank is dedicated to supporting education and seeks to partner with the University (CCTU) to help enhance its academic standards. This donation forms part of the bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.
The donation was made on behalf of the branch by the Branch Manager, Anthony Des-Bordes and colleagues from the Cape Coast branch.
According to him, “Education is key to the bank, especially as Cape Coast is home to many of the leading educational institutions in the country. We therefore see it fit to contribute our quota to this purpose.”
Professor S.K Ansah (Pro Vice chancellor of CCTU) who received the computers on behalf of the University expressed his gratitude to the bank for the donation.
