An Accra High Court Wednesday adjourned to July 21, 2017,the case involving the alleged Chinese galamsey kingpin Aisha Huang and four others.

Both defence and prosecution lawyers are said to have raised concerns with the Chinese interpreter, Yun Chin York.

According to the Director of Public Prosecution, Mrs. Yvonne Obuobisa, the State do not understand the Chinese dialect and if allowed to give interpretations, only he and the accused persons will understand.

Her point was corroborated by the defense Counsel led by Bernard Owiredu Donkor.

The lawyers therefore prayed the court for a Ghanaian Chinese interpreter whom they believe would not prejudice the case.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Edward Ekow Baiden, therefore ordered for his replacement on the adjourned date.
