Struggling club Accra Hearts of Oak has acquired the services of a new Technical Director.

German-Turkish Bahtiyar Can Vali is taking over from Edward Ansah, who has has been acting after the exit of Herbert Addo. Addo was axed from a job he thought he had firm grip on in July. His exit was made possible by a chain of losses across domestic and continental competitions.

Vali will be taking some GHs5000 in monthly wages, Kasapafmonline.com understands. The German-Turkish national, who has arrived in the country saw the team play for the first time yesterday during a Ghana Premier League mid-week game against Liberty Professionals, which Hearts won.

Even though club sources say Vali’s Technical directorship role is for Hearts’ next league games, Kasapafmonline.com understands he will be made permanent after the end of the season.

A decision that should prove crucial as Hearts battles relegation, it remains to be seen if he is the man to give the Phobians some respite..
